Skate-A-Thon Help Haiti 2010 is to raise funds for the Haitian earthquake relief efforts.
Here's How it Works:
When registering, skaters will pledge a specific number of laps to be accomplished during the given ice time on event day. Then, using our pledge forms, participants will solicite sponsor support from their friends and family (we're suggesting that skaters try to acheive a pledge of $1/lap and each skater should be attempting between 10-100 laps).
ON EVENT DAY: Skaters will arrive at the rink, turn in all sponsor funds and participate in a professionally guided, group warm-up off-ice. Next, skaters will proceed to our on ice event and accomplish their promised laps. Finally,participants will enjoy light refreshments while writing thank you notes to their sponsors and letters of hope to the Haitian children.
Immediately following the event, all checks will be deposited and a lump sum check sent to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund for use in the relief effort.

The event is over but thanks to I.S.C.C., Bank of America (Simsbury, CT) and all the wonderful participants and sponsors, Skate-A-Thon Help Haiti Managed to raise over $2100 for the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund!
All funds collected went at the close of Skate-A-Thon Help Haiti 2010 to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.
